The ALBA Manifesto: Why We Exist
Bridging the gap between elite talent and consumer safety.
In an industry where anyone with a social media account can claim to be a professional, how does a bride truly know who she is letting into her inner circle on the most important day of her life?
For too long, the wedding industry has relied on "pay-to-play" directories. These platforms help you find talent, but they don't verify it. They don't check for state licenses. They don't audit insurance policies. They don't ensure that an artist is a legally compliant business.
ALBA USA was founded because "beautiful photos" aren't enough.
To Our Brides:
You deserve more than a vendor; you deserve a guarantee. ALBA is the industry’s first true security net. When you see the ALBA seal, you are looking at an artist who has been manually vetted. We do the work you shouldn’t have to do—verifying that your artist is state-licensed, comprehensively insured, and legally standing. We provide the peace of mind that no big-name wedding site will: the certainty that your artist is a legitimate professional who meets the highest standards of safety and law.
To Our Artists:
Your hard work deserves to be protected. You’ve invested in your license, your insurance, and your legal business structure. You shouldn't have to compete with "hobbyists" who cut corners. ALBA is your home. We are a professional alliance that advocates for your trade, provides you with elite business resources, and gives you a "Gold Standard" badge that instantly signals your worth to luxury venues and high-end clients.
We aren't just a directory. We are an Alliance. We are the new standard for bridal beauty in America.
A Note from Our Founder
Growing up in this industry, I’ve seen the magic that happens when a bride looks in the mirror and finally sees the version of herself she’s always dreamed of. But I’ve also seen the "behind-the-scenes" of an industry that has grown too fast without enough protection.
I started ALBA USA because I was tired of seeing two things:
-
Brides being left vulnerable by hiring artists they thought were professionals, only to find out too late that there was no license, no insurance, and no safety net if something went wrong.
-
Elite Artists being undervalued because they were being compared to "hobbyists" who don't have the same overhead, legal compliance, or commitment to the craft.
I looked at the big wedding websites—the ones we all know—and I realized they weren't solving this problem. They are built to sell advertisements, not to protect people.
I wanted to create something different. I wanted to build an alliance where the "Gold Standard" actually meant something. When I put the ALBA name on this organization, I made a promise to every bride and every professional artist: We will be the security net that hasn't existed until now.
Whether you are a bride planning your dream day or an artist who has dedicated your life to this trade, ALBA is here to ensure that excellence is never an accident—it’s the standard.
With passion and purpose,
Jessica Marsh
