The Roadmap to Accreditation

📍 Currently Certifying: COLORADO CHAPTER

ALBA USA is growing state-by-state to ensure the highest vetting standards. At this time, we are exclusively accepting applications from Colorado Licensed Artists.

The Prerequisite Checklist (Colorado Edition)

Before you begin, ensure you have these digital documents ready. We manually verify every detail with DORA and state agencies.

Colorado Professional Licensure

Active Cosmetology or Esthetics license verified through DORA.

(If Applicable): If you are operating as a business entity, salon, or studio, you must provide proof of an active DORA Shop/Salon License. Both individual and business licenses must be current and not expired.

Proof of Insurance

Dual-Coverage Insurance

To protect the artist, the client, and the venue, ALBA requires proof of two distinct types of coverage:

Professional Liability: (Often via beauty/skin insurance like ASCP, Associated Hair Professionals, or similar) to cover services rendered.

General Liability: To cover property damage and "slip and fall" incidents (minimum $1,000,000 coverage).

Many specialized bridal policies bundle these; we will verify that both "Professional" and "General" risks are covered on your COI.

Secretary of State Standing

Proof of "Good Standing" with the Colorado Secretary of State for your registered business.
